Affiliate Marketing & WordPress

Hi,

In case there’s actually anyone reading this at this point, hopefully you’ll understand that the prior post were just written jokingly. They were mostly as a test to see how the WordPress software functions. I’m starting to get the hang of it. As of now, I have the basic package installed (obviously), along with the ‘Neoclassical’

Theme. I may change the theme again though. I have also installed ‘Adsense-Deluxe v.08′, a plugin that allows you to easily display Google ads on the blog. I’m not getting any ads displaying yet and I can’t figure out why. I’ve had an Adsense account for sometime, and the ads always display great on my store site OmniProductSales.com. I’ve also installed FeedWordPress 0.992 that allows RSS feeds….very useful. It’s functions very well, as far as I can tell. I haven’t however, set up any feeds that I plan on using, just one for a test.
I’ve barely gotten my feet wet trying my hand at PPC (Pay Per Click) marketing. I know there’s money to be made there, but it’s very competitive, and I’m not sure I have the funds to stay with it for an extended time. If you try it…from what I can tell and have heard…after you have an ad(s) running. test, test, test. Have more than one ad and see which one does the best, and stay with it if it’s making you money. Watch your bids, you don’t want clicks at ALL cost, just at a cost that will leave you enough room to make a profit. Your keywords are everything, make sure you experiment, keep the ones that pay off…dump the rest. Remember, the testing applies to everything…the ad itself, the bids, the keywords. About the bids, it’s like buying anything, you want the clicks as cheaply as you can get them. Why would you pay through the roof for something if you could have gotten it for less ? The same applies here. I’m learing, slowly but surely….I think!! Well, that’s about it for now, I’m going to study some of this PPC stuff for a while. I’m going to try and set a consisent schedule on posting here and actually try and put something up that can help beginners, such as myself, get into Affiliate marketing, setting up the WordPress software, whatever I find myself getting into.

Thanks for Stopping By,

Jeff
