Even though I’m probably online as much or more than most people, I always seem to be behind most in getting acquainted with the latest and greatest on the Internet. I’ve seen all the hype surrounding twitter and I

Associate Yourself with Reputable Companies and Products
Obviously there’s even more scams thrown at you on the Internet than was possible before, when the scammers had limited methods of contacting you. There’s a lot of the same type offers, mainly the ‘get rich while you sleep’ crap, it’s just that you see them by the hundreds per day, versus the few in the newspaper and magazine articles that we older people were once exposed to.
I don’t blame people for trying to earn a living, but I do wonder why some people, even some of the well known, most popular bloggers on the Internet, associate themselves with somewhat questionable products or services. Well, I know ‘why’ they do it, I just don’t think it’s a good move.
Admittedly, I do have quite a few offers on this blog, and I will tell you that I haven’t used them all. I do however, try and pick the ones that I have either signed up with myself, or at least believe to be worthwhile, quality products or services. I would never associate myself with an offer ‘just’ for the money, not if I knew it was a scam, or misleading in any way.
One of the Affiliate Networks I’ve signed on with is LinkShare, I know I can recommend them because they are a very fine company, one of the best by anyone’s standards. I’ve also signed up with Commission Junction, NeverBlueAds, and PepperJamNetwork for the same reason. They’re reputable, and I can recommend them knowing I’m passing along good information.
The reason I brought up LinkShare specifically however, is because I’ve just started to promote another merchant…TigerDirect. Probably most of you have at least heard of TigerDirect, even if you haven’t done business with them. Last year I probably bought five to six thousand dollars worth of computer related products. Probably more than 95% of my purchases were made at TigerDirect. Obviously that wasn’t because I had a vested interest, because at the time, I didn’t. It was only because I knew that I would be getting the best quality products available, at the best prices. One item I didn’t buy from them was a notebook computer, but it was only because, for some reason, I had my mind set on one certain brand/model that wasn’t available at TigerDirect.
I’ll be making a few major hardware purchases this year also, and I can promise you, as always, TigerDirect will be the first place I point my browser to.
Quality Content – Here We Go Again
I almost feel like I need to apologize for even mentioning ‘quality content’, or ‘content is king’ again. I get tired of hearing it also. This posts isn’t to ramble on about it again however. It is about the importance of your content, but it came about because of a post I just saw on another blog.
