Be Careful What Advice You Take

You know, some people will do about anything for money, and I keep seeing that more and more on the Internet. There’s no specific story here, but it just never ceases to amaze me. I was at another site a little while ago, the

guy was talking about some of the ‘blackhat techniques’ he uses, or has used to make online. I guess I’m not that greedy or something, but if you have to resort to doing anything and everything, well, I’d kind of still feel like a loser, regardless of how much money I was making.

Also, I’ve seen more than one guy advise using your credit cards to fund your PPC accounts. I’d be the last person to take advice from on financial matters. Well, I can tell you the right things to do, I just don’t have a history of doing them. I could be very well off now, if it weren’t for the tons of money I’ve wasted over the years. Anyway, I was talking about credit cards. Obviously only you know what you can and can’t afford, and I’m not going to try and tell you how to spend your money. However, one bit of advice I’ve heard regarding using credit cards is a good rule to live by. If you can’t pay something off when your credit card statement rolls in, then don’t charge it. That makes a lot of sense. If you’re forced to put something on your card just because you don’t have the money for it, you probably can’t afford it. Many times I wish I had the untold small fortune I’ve paid (and still pay) to the credit card companies.

You know, I really didn’t think before I started this blog, at least the topic part of it. There’s thousands of guys with Affiliate Marketing sites, most, if not all better than this one. I did just start it though to be different from the rest, it’s just MY experience in AM. It’s not to be the end-all expert site like so many of the people have.

My point of this post, mainly, was just to be careful what site(s) you take as the gospel on AM, and all things ‘Internet money’. I see that most, and I will venture out a bit and say MOST guys just copy from another site, or sites. They don’t have anything original to offer, and I’m not saying I do, but my point is, just take everything with a grain a salt. To quote my favorite phrase (again), ‘believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear’. You might even have to change that a bit, since this is the Internet, to…believe a little bit of what you see, if you can verify it, and some of what you hear, if you try it and it makes you money. Well, something like that anyway.

So, just check out some of the guys that are making the good money (honestly), read what they have to say about anything they’re willing to blog about. You’ll soon get a feel for the ones that are the real deal, and, more importantly perhaps, you also get a feel for the ones that are just blowing a bunch of smoke and trying to get some attention, and traffic.

By the way, this is supposed to be my experience in AF, and I haven’t been doing a lot lately because of limited funds, but I have managed to make a few more bucks since the last posts about my poor PPC results. I still don’t have the money coming in to tell anyone how to do it, but when I do, I will be glad to share it here. I am getting a pretty good list of things not to do though. :)

Until Next Time, Thanks for Reading
