Obviously we’re going through an extremely bad period in our economy. The Stock Market is even looking so bad that many experts are starting to compare the crash of 1929 when talking about how bad it is now.

Well, the thing about the poor economy is that it eventually affects nearly everyone. Even if it’s not directly, most people suffer indirectly, as there is just less money being spent. When there’s less consumer spending it definitely impacts affiliate marketing, especially since many (most ?) marketers are earning their money by promoting products or services that could be considered ‘not essential.’ Those weight loss products, dating services or whatever else is popular, often times will be the first expenditures consumers will avoid when the financial times are bad.

If you’re like me and have decided that you will make it in affiliate marketing, and you aren’t going to let anything stop you, then read on.

You’ve probably heard of Jay Conrad Levison, especially since I mentioned him in the previous post :) . He’s a marketer that’s light years ahead of most. I included an accolade about Jay from Seth Godin in the previous post. Here’s another one from Entrepreneureneur Magazine.

“Jay is one of the foremost business marketing experts in the world.  No one knows how to use the weapons of the trade better than industry expert Jay Levinson.”
Entrepreneur magazine

The reason I mention Jay here is because of Guerrilla Marketing During Tough Times, it’s a product that’s offered through Nitro Affiliates, and is authored by Jay. This product has twelve chapters of valuable information and includes an action step in each chapter that you can do to actually make sure you get good, verifiable results from this course. There’s also some great freebies included to make the deal very attractive.

Also, I won’t buy ANY product ever again unless I know the seller is going to stand behind what they’re selling. I once bought a couple of scripts from one idiot and I didn’t check to make sure he would stand behind his products. Once I installed one of the scripts I saw that it was a script that could be downloaded from hundreds or thousands of sites around the Internet for FREE.

That means all products must have a money back guarantee.  Guerrilla Marketing During Tough Times has that guarantee, for 60 days. If you’re not satisfied with it, for any reason, you simply send an email stating that you want your money back, and you get it back…the entire purchase price. Plus you get to keep the bonuses.

P.S. If you’ve never heard of Guerrilla Marketing or don’t know what it means, it’s a phrase that was coined by Jay Levison in his 1984 book Guerrilla Marketing. In a nutshell, it’s just using unconventional methods to promote your business, products, services or whatever, to the potential customer when they’re not expecting it. If you’re looking for products to promote,  you’ll probably wind up at Clickbank at some point. The overwhelming majority of Internet Marketers are promoting, have promoted, or will promote Clickbank products. It’s for a good reason too. Clickbank products have very good commissions, although they vary from product to product. Also. there’s a wide variety of products to offer, and there’s so may products that there’s always some that are very hot.

The main drawback with Clickbank however, is that you’ll usually always have many, many affiliates competing for the business in whatever item that you’ve chosen to promote. If you can get your share of the traffic that might not be a problem, but unless you’re at the top of your game, you’ll probably get lost in the multitudes of Internet Marketers.

There’s another program that might be better for many.  It’s called Nitro Affiliates, and it has many attractive benefits. One of which, it isn’t Clickbank. As previously mentioned, if you’re getting some good traffic for your Clickbank offers, then by all means, stick with it. If you are looking for something else though, Nitro Affiliates is definitely worth taking a serious look at it.

Here are some of the benefits of Nitro Affiliates:

  • Residual Monthly Commissions
  • Generous Two-Tier Commissions
  • Lifetime Customers
  • Expert Coaching
  • Earning Up to 50% on Hot-Selling Products
  • The Best Affiliate Tracking in the Industry

They over 50 products that you can earn commissions on, so you should be able to find something that you’re actually interested in to promote. So, if you’re not making much with Clickbank or whatever else you’re promoting, I’d at least go over to Nitro Affiliates and have a look at what they’re offering. It just might be what you need to make a difference in your bottom line.

Oh, I was going to mention one other thing. The following is a quote from Seth Godin (think Squidoo, and also his fantastic books among everthing elese he does). Seth one of the most respected guys around, both on and off the Internet. He’s just one of those guys that you wish you wish you had just a fraction of what’s in his head. Anyway, here is the quote.

“Jay can convert virtually unknown businesses into phenomenally profitable enterprises — in record speed.”

– Seth Godin, best-selling author of Permission Marketing and IdeaVirus

In case you didn’t know, the previous quote was about Jay Conrad Levinson, the world’s expert on Guerilla Marketing.

I just finished reading a post on one of the forums I visit regularly. The post was a guy asking if anyone had purchased whatever latest ebook on finding a niche. I don’t remember the name offhand…nor do I care. The price on the ebook or whatever the author calls it, was priced at $497.00!!

I realize that sometimes you have to pay a premium price for something that is very high quality. However, I have purchased a couple of ebooks, and I mean like 2 only. Both of these had some great comments and reviews when I was looking to potential buy. Having said that, although both did provide accurate, quality information that does work, everything, and I mean everything that I read in both of them was available for free elsewhere on the Internet.

I’ve said it here before, and I’ll continue saying it, don’t spend your money on ebooks or any other bit of information on making money online. There’s just too many sources to find anything that you need information on.

If you get into PPC marketing, or even email marketing, you will need to spend some money. Actually you’ll need to probably spend some money on most any method(s) you use to make money online. Wheter it’s on hosting, PPC campaigns, an autoresponder, software or any other number of things. Just don’t give your money to the ebook guys that usually just get the information from different sources and complie it into ‘their own’ ebook.
