Well, I obviously have biten off more than I can chew, yet again. I started several months ago on this blog and got carried away. Here I sit some dozen or so sites later, having not devoted the time or resources into any of them that I would have liked to.
However, and this is a big however…I believe as long as you’re persistant, you will be rewarded. This blog is nothing more than an online diary and I never expected to make a large sum of money from it. The several other sites are the ones that I hoped to make something more substantial from.
One thing I’ve learned that is very important, is that WordPress is not always the best software for the job. Although I love WP and it’s a piece of cake to setup and use, it’s not going to be the best tool for my next
site. In all honestly, it wasn’t the best choice for several of my sites. Although I was able to ‘tweak’ the theme so that it didn’t appear to be a standard blog, there’s still things which I didn’t like about using it for the sites (just some of them).
I posted some time ago that I was going to try Sitesell’s Site Build It! complete ‘start to finish’ system. You (I) just supply the ‘BAM’ (Brain And Motivation) as Ken Evoy, the man behind the SBI says in his documentation. I just bought the system today (7-5-08), and I’ve barely even looked over a small portion of it, but….I AM DEDICATED and plan to follow the literature to the letter.
I want to be able to write an honest review in several months, knowing I used the SiteSell system as well as I could have. I feel really excited about what I’ve looked at so far. There are also many good stories of success on the SiteSell forums. After my initial review, I’ll update it every few months, up until I think I’ve really developed a robust site.
So, check back later. I play on getting started with step 1 tonight, and at least having it finished by tomorrow and at least starting on step 2. Although the second step will be a little more difficult as it is starting the site concept, whereas the first step is to MASTER the all-important basics of the C-T-P-M system. The C being quality content, the T is the traffic, P is for PREselling, and the M is for the eventual monetization of the site. Hopefully I’ll be posting some results withing six months or so. I think expecting anything in less time wouldn’t really be fair, especially if I don’t devote the time necessary to get the best results in the shortest amount of time.
After reading so many of the posts in the SBI! forums, I KNOW that I will be successful with the SIte Build It! system, I can feel it. Iread the posts of many of the users and checked out their websites to see what they looked like and you can tell the ones that put in the time and effort and are indeed reaping the rewards.
