A Great Addon for the phpBay Pro plugin

If you’ve looked at this blog for over a few seconds you’ll know that I’m a big believer in the phpBay Pro plugin. I guess that’s because I’ve made more money using that plugin with the EPN than I have with all other methods of affiliate marketing combined!!

A regular in the phpBay forums, Alan Lewis, has a great plugin that works with the phpBay Pro plugin. It’s called Search2Post and it’s a marketer’s dream come true. It works as a widget (only) in WordPress and is a search form that allows users to search eBay from your site.

There’s one big difference however…normally after a user searches, and then moves on, his results page(s) is also gone. Search2Post lets you save the search results as a post, or a page, your pick. I think the power of this is obvious. You get content added to your site without doing a thing. Actually, there is a little you can do.

After a search is done, the plugin sends an email to an address that you specify. You can then go into the site and do whatever you want with the results page/post. If it was a specific search to the content on your page, you can just leave it as is or you’ll probably want to change the name to something besides what the plugin named it. If it was some idiot playing around to see what he would get by doing some weird search, you may want to delete it.

I’ve yet to ever get anything besides what would be applicable to my site, so I’ve never had to do anything more than change the title of the page, and I’m done.

The plugin is only $15 and I think it’s a steal at that price.

Alan also has another cool plugin (also $15) that hangs out in your WordPress admin and always shows your current earnings for the month from eBay. If you’ve been using the EPN, you’ll know that this is a big time saver. I usually find myself logging onto eBay to check my stats a couple of times a day. It’s definitely worth having, and also a great bargain at only $15.

Commisssions…Finally, Thanks to phpBay Pro

Well, although I did have a small income from a few PPC efforts, I was still ‘in the red’ overall for paying way too much for the clicks.

I’ve mentioned phpBay Pro here in the past, and I’ve had it installed on a few sites for some time now. I was getting a few clicks every so often, but I wasn’t making any money until just recently. It still hasn’t been very long considering how long it can take to get any pages listed on Google. I’m still a long way from being able to quit my day job, but just the fact that I’m starting to see some regular income is a great sign.

I’m still very guilty of not updating my sites with regular, good quality content as often as I should, but evidently I’m at least getting there.

For those of you that are looking for a real, feasible way to generate some online income, I strongly suggest phpBay Pro. It’s already proving itself to be a quality product for me and I’m not putting as much effort in as I should be.

Also, I’ve mentioned BANS here too. I finally got around to purchasing it also. I just got it a couple of days ago and only have one site up so far. The site I do have has no content and I don’t expect anything at all from it until I put in some effort to get it a little more presentable. I don’t want just a site of Ebay listings and nothing else. I can promise you that’s not the way to go. Not only will Google shoot you down, if you try and use Adsense, but if you do get any Ebay sales, they will be few and far between.

I’ll post again and update you on phpBay Pro and BANS once I really get some sites to where they are producing what I think they’re capable of. Both products look very promising indeed.
