The eBay Partner Network Seems to Be Rocking Now

It’s been so long since I’ve posted on here I feel bad. I was laid off for several months over the winter and had lots of free time. Now that I’m back to work, there just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day.

Anyway, I just wanted to touch on the EPN (eBay Partner Network). For those of you that are eBay affiliates, you probably know that this has been a rather touchy topic lately. At the risk of ticking off some affiliates, I would just like to go on the record as saying, at least for me, I thought the change went fairly smoothly. HOWEVER, and this is a big ‘however’…I had only been an affiliate through Commission Junction for a very short time, and had very little earnings.

I realize there are many affiliates that were making serious money, and are reporting very significant drops in that income after eBay went in-house. There has been many inflammatory posts on the eBay boards, and elsewhere. I guess it’s easy for me to say, but I really believe that eBay  is working hard to resolve any issues. I think one important thing to remember here is that eBay has a very good reason to be doing everything possible to get things running smoothly…MONEY!!

Obviously, eBay would much rather have happy affiliates, earning hefty commissions, and in turn generating more sales for them, instead of all the talk of some affiliates dropping eBay totally. I believe that would be a major mistake on the part of the affiliates.

So, in closing, as hard as it is to be losing money, for those of you that have, just try and hang in there a little longer. I realize things where great with Commission Junction, and I believe they will be just as good with eBay handling things via the EPN…and eventually even better with the added features that will be coming out.
